Art For Art's Sake

I've got paid to act
a couple times

each one contained

a bit of grime

So I gave up

that partial dream

although it had

a lustrous sheen

To do the things

I want and when

in pursuit of

joy and health

The only goal

is the thing itself

not a means

to reach a future end
