There is pleasure

has been addictive
the drone and glow
of the box
necessitating legions to
turn on, tune in, and drop out
now phones
give us the magic square
every where
and the risk
is to become
complacent
satiated
compliant
sleepwalk through
the jobs we tolerate
to be diverted
by the ever-growing mass
of prestige long-form television
