LP Conservatory

One of the benefits and problems of having a substantial amount of free time is that it needs to be filled up. Today I went to the Lincoln Park Conservatory, a place, although I've lived in Chicago for nine years(give or take), I've never been.

I stopped at the zoo first but it was partially under construction and all the animals were taking afternoon naps. The flowers were much more inviting.

It's a beautiful place. Quiet and serene. I hope this will start a series of visits to other landmarks and institutions that I've neglected.
